At the beginning of April another
marvellous wedding was held at Blairquhan and the 70 guests were
able to stay on the Estate for the whole weekend.
I had the pleasure of welcoming McLelland
Cheese Merchants who visited us with a group of 14 international clients
staying at the Castle. During their stay they organised a special Whisky
and Cheese Tasting. |

John Vigar's Historical Appreciation
Society from Kent paid us a visit for a tour of the house and gardens.
They visited the Castle shop (very lucrative!) and had a delicious
buffet lunch before departing for Sorn Castle.

Mr Ken Bibby and his
party of friends came and stayed at the Castle for the The Scottish
Grand National and to celebrate his birthday. They booked a
corporate box on the course for the Grand National and enjoyed a
good days racing with lunch.
We also welcomed Dawn Construction for two overnight management
meetings at the Castle. Staff from HMS Gannet at Prestwick had a
great time at their dinner event. Also, a repeat visit by some
guests from Sweden came to Blairquhan. They flew into Prestwick and
arrived in time for dinner and an enjoyable stay over. |
The Castle has been undergoing its annual
Spring Clean! During March, the estate handyman Jim Cuthbertson sanded
and varnished the Small Drawing Room floor as well as giving all the
woodwork a good lick of white paint. The room now looks very clean and
shiny. The hard working staff then had an away day in Edinburgh and soon
discovered Harvey Nics and their prices!

The Approach Loch has recently been
fishing well for the beginning of the Season. ~
