Blairquhan Castle has bagged its first industry award, winning Wedding Venue of the Year in the South West region at the Scottish Wedding Awards 2017. This is an amazing achievement by our team in recognition of the outstanding service they have been providing to our clients in the past years!
With a public voting system, the Scottish Wedding Awards is very much a celebration of local talent. Winners are a true reflection of quality and customer service as chosen by members of the general public. To enter the competition, dress makers, florists, photographers, caterers, and others throughout Scotland have been nominated by devoted clients that have experienced exceptional service. The award ceremony was held at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Glasgow on Monday 27th February. The Wedding Venue of the Year Award was announced at the last due to it being the largest award category with very strong competition, and when we found out we were regional winners we were all over the moon!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our clients and the general public who have nominated and voted for us. Also a special thanks to the amazing Blairquhan team, this is a truly exceptional achievement accomplished by a truly exceptional team!
Blairquhan Castle has achieved superb scores again in the recent visit from Visit Scotland’s Quality Assurance advisor. As well as retaining it’s 5 star status in the Exclusive Use Venue category which is the highest level of the National Tourism Board’s Quality Assurance scheme, Blairquhan has also achieved the newly launched “Taste Our Best” Award.
“Taste Our Best” Award is part of Visit Scotland’s Food & Drink Quality Assurance Scheme, it recognises and celebrates businesses providing locally sourced quality food and drink. Blairquhan Castle has always pride ourselves for sourcing only the best local Scottish produce for our menus, therefore achieving the “Taste Our Best” Award is a well deserved recognition of our achievement by the National Tourism Board.
We are delighted to announce that Blairquhan Castle has been awarded 5 star status by Visit Scotland in the Exclusive Use Venue category recently. This reward is highly regarded within the Scottish tourism industry, and is a true affirmation of the superb facilities and high service standard Blairquhan has been offering to our guests.

Ganten have pledged to be sympathetic custodians of the fine house and surrounding lands, having already spent much time at the estate.
