Snowdrop Festival at Blairquhan – Sunday 1st March, 1pm – 4pm

Wander through the beautiful gardens and woodlands of Blairquhan this winter to discover a wide range of stunning scenery and the blossoming of Scotland’s most delicate white flower, the snowdrop. There will also be members of Ayrshire Food Network exhibiting their fresh local produce in the castle, so it will be a great family outing!

This is a charity event, CLIC Sargent for Children with Cancer receives 40% of the proceeds, the net remaining goes to Scotland Gardens Beneficiaries.

£4 per person to enter the grounds,  £5.00 to the Castle including tea or coffee with homemade treats. Entrance to grounds and castle free for children. No advance booking needed, admissions charged at the main gate on the day.

Celebrate Valentine’s at the Castle!

Enjoy your afternoon experiencing different styles of dance with qualified instructors within our regency Drawing Rooms.

Our chef has hand prepared a hot finger buffet which will be served in the Dining Room surrounded by original artworks and antiques.

The ticket price also includes exclusive access to the castle and our grounds.

Scottish Afternoon Tea with Burns’ Flair – Saturday 31st January

Commemorating the Music and Song of our National Baird.

Blairquhan Castle’s doors have been opened, warmly inviting you to enjoy a Scottish Afternoon Tea with the music of Burns.

Relax with family or friends in our luxurious regency drawing rooms surrounded by picturesque views over Burns’ Country. Enjoy a mouth watering Scottish afternoon tea including freshly homemade sandwiches, warmly baked scones and a selection of beautiful cakes. Our celebrated musician and singer will host sessions interpreting traditional songs by Robert Burns.

All our guests would be welcomed to take a tour of the Castle, during their visit.

Date: Saturday 31st January

Timings: Between 1pm and 4pm

Price: £28 per person for traditional afternoon tea or £35 per person for afternoon tea with a glass of Champagne

Blairquhan Castle Changes Hands – November 2013

The new owners of the 190-year-old castle in the heart of the Ayrshire countryside are Ganten Scotland, an offshoot of an international business based in the south China province of Guangdong.

Ganten have pledged to be sympathetic custodians of the fine house and surrounding lands, having already spent much time at the estate.

Mr Zhou Jing Liang, owner and managing director of Ganten China, said: “Every care shall be taken in the future preservation and maintenance of these valued and traditional assets.

“Ganten wish to expand and diversify in Scotland with the aim of becoming a provider of top level accommodation and hospitality for elite Chinese and foreign tourists who desire only the best.”
