Wedding Morning
If you are staying over in the Castle the night before your wedding you and your guests will wake up to a hearty full Scottish breakfast, served in the Dining Room to kick start the most important day of your life. If you are not staying over the night before, we will open the Castle door from 8am and check you into your luxurious Castle bedrooms so you can start your wedding day preparation nice and early.
Wedding Ceremony
The spectacular saloon is a beautiful ceremony room which can comfortably seat up to 70 guests on the ground floor, along with 20 more around the impressive upstairs balcony. If you fancy an outdoor ceremony, you can have it in our beautiful flower garden with stunning countryside views, or on the front lawn having the magnificent Castle as the backdrop.
Drinks Reception
Following the ceremony, your guests will retire into the traditional looking Dining Room for an afternoon drinks reception with sparkling wines and mouth-watering canapes. If weather permits, why not have the drinks reception outside in the stunning flower garden instead? With so many beautiful spots on Blairquhan estate you and your guests are spoilt for choices when it comes to wedding photography, too!
Wedding Breakfast
The grandeur of our Large and Small Drawing Rooms led themselves to be the perfect space for hosting wedding breakfasts. Depending on guest numbers you can choose to use only the Large Drawing Room (for 60 guests or less) or both Large and Small Drawing Room (for up to 100 guests). If you prefer a more traditional looking room, you can also have your wedding breakfast in the Dining Room, the choice is entirely yours.
Our award-winning catering partner only uses the finest local produce to create the most sumptuous dishes on your wedding day, guaranteed to wow your guests and make your wedding day an unforgettable experience for years to come.
Evening Reception and Accommodation
After your sumptuous wedding meal is served, you and your guests will kick start the evening celebration of your wedding. Cut your wedding cake in the Saloon, before entering back into the Large Drawing Room to perform your first dance as Mr & Mrs!
As the evening draws to a close, you and your guests will retire to your luxurious Castle bedrooms or to one of the eight modern cottages on the estate to enjoy a restful night. Come the morning, you will all be able to reconvene in the Dining Room for a scrumptious breakfast before beginning the rest of your lives together.
